Marcia has been working at the art of her craft for over 35 years. She is a fourth generation clothing designer who is recognized particularly for the subtlety of color work handwoven into chenille garments and accessories. She often refers to her weaving as painting with fibers and garments she creates as handwoven comfort.

Exhibiting her work extensively throughout the United States for the last 25 years, Marcia has won many awards at different exhibitions from such places as Coconut Grove in Florida to the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT. She has exhibited at the prestigious Smithsonian Craft Show in Washington D.C., served on the board for the Vermont Crafts Council and has been a juror for the American Craft Council shows. She is the founder of Collective-the art of craft established in Woodstock, VT in 2006. She is currently also painting canvases in oils and in watercolors, as well as exploring color on silk fabric and scarves through hand painting and the ancient Japanese technique of shibori dyeing.
